BRUCE WOOD DANCE GALLERY
103 Howell Street I Dallas, TX 75207
Join multi-award winning choreographer Bryan Arias for master classes at Bruce Wood Dance Gallery. You’ll explore contemporary movement with Arias, described by The New York Times as “an expressive young powerhouse dancer.”
A lauded dance-maker, Arias has been awarded the 2017 Princess Grace Award for choreography, is the 2018-19 Jacob’s Pillow Fellowship recipient, has earned the First Place and Audience Choice awards for his work, Without Notice, at the Sixth Copenhagen International Choreography Competition, and was nominated for the Rolex Mentor and protégé award. Bryan established ARIAS Company in 2013, premiering its first major evening–length work, a rather lovely thing, at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in 2016. Arias has danced for internationally acclaimed companies like Kidd Pivot, Nederlands Dans Theater, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet and has created works for companies such as NDT2, Ballet Vorpommern, The Scottish Ballet, The Paul Taylor Dance Company, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and Bruce Wood Dance.
The mission of Bruce Wood Dance is to present high-caliber, original, contemporary choreography that
harnesses the power of dance as a tool for entertainment, enrichment, and healing. Fortified by Bruce Wood®’s
aesthetic, BWD produces and maintains his repertoire, commissions new work by resident choreographers and
guest dance-makers, and contributes to the quality of life in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, and across the nation.
